Project Description

The LIVEVET project aims to evolve the operational model of VET organizations and providers by introducing an innovative business model based on the Living Lab methodology, which involves creating real-world learning environments where stakeholders collaborate to co-create, experiment, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions, encompassing an active Public-Private-People Partnership (PPPP) in order to transform VET organization into the main actors that will contribute to an inclusive Green and Digital transition. Living Labs function as user-centred, open-innovation ecosystems, typically embedded in a territorial context and combining research and innovation activities within a PPPP framework. The strategic development of a VET Living Lab relies on the creation of sustainable stakeholder partnerships, bringing together VET providers, policy-makers, enterprises, learners and researchers through long-term collaborative agreements. The LIVEVET project is designed to equip VET learners, trainers, and industry stakeholders with the necessary green and digital skills to support sustainable economic growth in partners’ countries. Target groups:

  • VET organizations / providers;

  • VET trainers / experts;

  • SMEs / industry representatives across Europe;

  • National, regional & local authorities / public organizations in charge of VET activities / policy;

  • Researchers, Universities.

Impact

The LIVEVET project is expected to generate significant impact across the VET ecosystem by strengthening the capacity of VET organisations, fostering closer collaboration with industry and academia, and supporting evidence-based policymaking. Through the Living Lab methodology and Public–Private–People Partnerships (PPPP), the project will enhance VET providers’ ability to deliver green and digital skills, improve alignment between training provision and labour market needs, and facilitate innovation, knowledge transfer and workforce upskilling. SMEs and industry representatives will benefit from better access to skilled talent and collaborative innovation opportunities, while academia will strengthen its applied research and societal engagement. At the policy level, LIVEVET will support institutional reforms, informed decision-making and the mainstreaming of green and digital education within VET systems, contributing to sustainable development, innovation and inclusive economic growth.
